Matthew Carroll grew up in both Guatemala and in the UK, and has spent a significant amount of time in The Netherlands, Southeast China, and Hong Kong. These formative life experiences have embedded a keen interest in people, their culture, and their constructed surroundings. These lie at the root of his curiosity about the characteristics of environments people create for themselves, and how these inform the meaning of their lives.
